Social Media is something that almost everyone can use on their smart phone (if you do not have a smart phone, then you are living in the dark ages). It is easy and quick to post if you have a smart phone on any social media website. I use Facebook and Twitter for iPhone, and I find that it is easy to maintain and easy to watch my accounts. Most people today do not leave their phone outside of their reach and that can be great for social media. You can post and delete posts from almost anywhere in the world. You can also link your Facebook to your Twitter and your Twitter to Facebook. This way you only have to post on one or the other, and you can get double the posting power.
Social Media is a great way to get your company's name out there, without a lot of extra work. These pages will boost your SEO with most search engines, and can be another way for customers to find you.
WARNING:
If you are using Facebook for business please make a Business Page, and not a separate profile. You are anonymous when you make a company page, and you can do so many other things that you cannot do with a normal profile. Such as Deals, and Coupons, and check in at your business. You will also want to protect your account by using Facebooks privacy settings. I personally only allow friends to see my personal information. This way you keep business and pleasure separate.
